Lost Sierra Leone

Discussions regarding Sierra Leone bring the feeling of despair.  I would not be wrong to say there is not much positive coming out of the country with regards to the people’s perspective of the direction of the country or the prospect of a better life. It is just not happening for us Sierra Leoneans. Conversation with Sierra Leoneans at home and abroad produces so much negativity. We all feel lost. Successive efforts to redeem Sierra Leone yield less or almost nothing. Let be honest. We will not seem to be going anywhere if the basic necessities of life are not rightfully afforded by Sierra Leoneans. As a people Individually  we are hardworking, therefore if there is a system that work for us, we will work to afford beyond basic necessities and we will begin to seen more self-actualised Sierra Leoneans. We have a country blessed with natural resources, fertile land, ecologically well positioned and a young population. The Big question is why after all the Prayers and the input of local and international resources we are still lost. You must quote me here. We will continue to be lost until as a nation we accept one thing. We must accept that we are all lost and we need to together find our way. From the first citizen to the last citizen,  we are all lost. The biggest problem is some group of Sierra Leoneans believe they have the solution others think the international community has the solutions. The Solution is with Us. Sierra Leoneans we need to figure this together. Some Sierra Leoneans need to stop seeing themselves as the experts of the solutions, other need to stop looking at some other Sierra Leoneans as the elites who have the solutions and we need to see the international community as supporting us  to change our country rather than the change makers. At this stage as a nation we should be Abe to figure out what our problems are, we need to prioritise our agenda. We should be in the position to tell the international community what help we want not the other way round. The People of Sierra Leone problems The People of Sierra Leone Solutions
